Security monitoring in 4K
The days of choppy and blurry security footage are over. This dome camera has a cutting edge 8.51 MP image sensor at its core, which is capable of recording crystal clear and incredibly detailed 4K video. Ultimately, this high resolution will provide you with the best chance to capture useable evidence should an incident ever occur.
What does 4K resolution mean?
4K resolution is based on the amount of pixels the camera's image sensor has on it. In order to be considered 4K, there must be at least 8,000,000 pixels. This dome security camera, in particular, can record at a pixel ratio of 3840 (horizontal) x 2160 (vertical) - a total of 8,294,400. That is about 4× the amount of pixels that a 1080p HD resolution camera has. A further advantage of a 4K security camera is that the higher amount of pixels allows for much better digital zooms. So if you spot something in your footage that you need to zoom in on, specific details, such as facial features, will remain visible for longer as you zoom in further and further into the image.
Expanded coverage with built in microphone
Not only will you receive 4K video footage with this security camera, a built-in microphone will let you capture audio as well.* This feature can provide you with more information (such as voices) should an intrusion ever occur. It will also help you to interpret events (even if they occur off-screen).
* Please note, audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Corporation assumes no liability for use of its products that does not conform with local laws.
See further into the dark than ever before. Nocturnal security cameras come with high powered infrared LEDs that flood the scene in front of the camera with infrared lighting. Invisible to the naked eye, but not to the camera, this infrared lighting will allow your security camera to see in complete darkness.
Add external lights around your nocturnal security camera to utilize our revolutionary Color Night Vision technology. With CNV, you'll be able to capture a whole new level of details, such as the color of a car or the color of a person's clothes, which may prove invaluable if needed for evidence.
Enhanced security monitoring with HDR
HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a technology used by this security camera to ensure that you capture the most important details, regardless of differing lighting conditions within the same frame. This feature uses this difference to automatically adjust the picture's brightness, so that no part of the frame is too dark or too bright to see details.
Increased clarity in low-light scenes
This camera also uses DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology to filter out noise / grain from low-light scenes. This provides you with a cleaner, more accurate image with better clarity, sharpness, and improved motion detection. It will also help reduce video file sizes as well, which will save you storage space on your NVR.
HEVC / H.265 compression
Keep the 4K footage without the 4K file sizes with . Also known as H.265 or MPEG-H Part 2, this feature will compress video file sizes up to 40% more than the previous video compression technology without any noticable difference in quality. When combined with one of our 4K security recorders that are capable of receiving this type of encoding, you can expect smaller file sizes, longer record times, and higher remote viewing video quality without large data transfers.
All-weather security camera
There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, this dome secuirty camera is an absolute beast. , it can endure all types of weather, even torrential downpours and freezing climates.

Metal camera housing
The exterior of this camera's housing is built using high-grade aluminum. This ensures that it is strong enough to withstand adverse weather conditions for years and years.
Easy PoE installation
All that this security camera requires to connect it to a compatible NVR is a single Cat5e ethernet cable. This all-in-one cable provides video transmission, power to the camera, and a stable network connection.
Regional motion zones
Program this camera with up to four different motion zones using your NVR. These zones can be customized to adjust the sensitivity - the amount of movement required to register that movement - and threshold - how much movement is required before creating a motion "event" of the camera. So more important areas, like a doorway, can be adjusted so that any movement at all will trigger recording (or create a motion event), while other sections of the frame, like a tree, would need a much higher level of motion.
